London Transport Museum - Covent Garden

The London Transport Museum (LTM) is located in the Grade II listed Victorian building, originally built to house the Covent Garden Flower Market. It was refurbished and the client's brief was to:

 - Bring the museum up to date to better tell the story of London's transport

 - Revitalise the existing environment and visitor experience

 - Create more exhibit-friendly display space

 - Build a 120-seat theatre for educational programmes

 - Conserve the current Grade II listed Flower Market building

Total Control met all the control system needs of this brief by using a Trend IQ3 based BMS to control high and low level natural ventilation louvers, underfloor heating and A/C+Vent plant. All closely controlled to CO, CO2, air quality, temperature and humidity sensors throughout the museum. With the vast internal spaces, decor issues and listed building considerations, wireless radio sensors were used in a number of areas.
